Speaking Engagements
Not your typical DEI keynote. A blend of inspiring words, engaging performance, and interactive learning. My keynote presentation transcends the conference space. I’m deliberate about how I use art and heart to seam together topics in the keynote with post-performance discussion which expose otherwise hidden structural truths about bias, discrimination, and equity. Unlocking these individual and cultural defenses are vital to the process of blueprinting a shared path forward.
Often I perform scenes from my internationally awarding-winning solo play “SNAPSHOT: a true story of love interrupted by invasion.” Scenes awaken the subconscious of participants, moistening it like a sponge, so audiences can absorb the truth of what this equity, diversity and inclusion work must be in order to make real change.
The following organizations validate how I transfer life experience and growth in an entertaining and engaging way: Barry University’s Ethical Leadership Conference, The University of Cincinnati Emerging Ethnic Leaders Institute, St. Thomas University’s Leadership Institute, Artist Thrive National Summit, Wellesley Free Library Boston MA, Marshall University’s Black Scholars Program, and Goodwill Industries.
Book now to inspire a deeper sense of empathy and understanding that helps bridge existing social gaps and foster an emergent alignment of purpose.

"Mitzi Sinnott is a dynamic presenter who, through her work, creates safe environments that allow participants to share deeply about their personal experiences, even if they are in contrast with others in the room."

Staff Development
I welcome the opportunity to help upgrade your Equity and Diversity work. No business can require its employees to show greater empathy or collaborate at a high level. Over the years, I’ve learned that identity and personal narrative are ideal routes to establishing genuine connections and trust needed to resolve things in a new way. This doesn’t mean I’ll ask people to reveal their deepest secret or trauma, it does mean we’ll use art, reflection, discussion, and sometimes movement to connect to the stories we associate with class, race, gender, innovation, and risk taking. Making courageous efforts like these ultimately strengthens your brand. After our sessions your employees will work better together, equitably, joyously, and with respect for everyone. Let’s connect so I can learn more about your environment & customers and how I can facilitate a process to collaborative solutions.
"These are serious topics that through open discussion, can bring people together or potentially bring up underlying divisions. Mitzi knew how to direct conversation and engage with staff in an easy-going but meaningful and thought-provoking way."

Workshops
When I facilitate workshops, my role is catalyst and co-creator. I’m not feeding solutions. With each client I design and help organize events that establish brave space for diverse perspectives to emerge, be heard, and valued. My promise is to be in “right action” with you as you engage in this important work. Always using art and personal narrative to establish deeper connections and buy-in among staff, students, or community stakeholders, the tools and approaches help individuals and groups become better equipped to articulate their cultural distinctiveness as well as collaborate to identify shared histories and common dreams. Anticipated outcomes of working with me:
-
a greater awareness of self and others,
-
deepens the value of personal narrative and investment at all levels, and
-
ability to maintain cultural distinctiveness while promoting collaboration.
Let's connect for an initial consultation.
"Prepare to move, converse, and ideate toward a-ha moments that come with guideposts for sustained action. Mitzi is a full force celebration of life and life changing experiences!"
